Hi all. I finished my regimen of erythromicin 3 days ago but now I have an ongoing body rash. The rash that began near the end of the 10 day of 15 day period. I heve been using erythromicin before and I’ve never experienced nothing like it. Could this be an allergic reaction? Is it possible it is something else??? Thanks for your thoughts.

The rash you’ve described could be a drug rash, but it could also be related to the infection you were treated for. If you never had such reactions on the drug before, then I believe that the drug was not the cause. I would say that it is something else causing it. As you did not provide more information, I can’t tell you what the cause might be – so, I recommend you see your doc for further examinations.
