I’m interested in essential htn meaning. What does it mean when disease is essential? Else, what htn means? I need an explanation. Thanks!

Htn means hypertension. Essential means that causal agent of disease is not known. Hypertension may be essential or primary, and it’s usual situation. Secondary hypertension is most often caused by renal disease.
