Hello! Two night ago I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time. I know there was supposed to be some blood when the hymen broke but I had an excessive bleeding. Is something the matter? I can’t stop thinking about it. I am 19 years old.

Hi! Just like there could or could not be bleeding after first sex, it is the same with the quantity of bleeding. It may or may not be excessive. If this bleeding persists, you should visit a doctor, especially if you were involved in rough sex. When having sex next time, try to use a lot of lubrication, so that you can prevent bleeding in case you are dry.

I lost my virginity on Friday night. I bleed a lot, to the point that my boyfriend and I were concerned he might have been too rough, or done something wrong. We had sex Saturday night and then again this morning. I didn't bleed eitehr time. You probably broke the hymen. If you are in severe pain or discomfort, I'd call your GYN.
