| Hi. I hope you can help me out here. I just had my papsmear where the ob-gyn felt two nodules around my cervix (vulva?). I was advised to go to a hospital to get a biopsy or something. Also i stopped taking my birth control pills for a month and restarted on the week where i supposed to have my period. After 1 week of taking the pills, i started bleeding heavily until now. It's heavy bleeding with blood clots everyday! I've been bleeding for 21 days now. Is this normal since i i stopped and started taking the pill again? Can i go to the hospital and have a biopsy or ultrasound even if i have my period? Thanks. |

Are you over weight..? If so this can be the case and if you lose a few pounds then it should be regular again.... Well at least that is what they tell me and it didnt work.. I too use to be on the pill and when i stopped em my period has been out of whack every since., I mean i bleed for months at a time... mostly very heavy with clottin and i went to the emergency room one time cause i was so scarred that i was losing too much blood and the dumb doctor told me you alright u just losing too much blood i said you think..., but later i got a pap and found out i have abnormal cells on my Cervix and i need a colposcopy ( they need to check if its cancerist) I am only 26 and scarred specially since i have to get this done 2wks after my cycle... and i was only off for 2week but couldnt get a hold of the doctor's office to make my appointment and now i have been bleedin since the 4th of july ( but not always really heavy with clots) oh yea i am a nemic now cause i have lost so much blood.... but I Pray you get the answers you are lookin for... |

| So, what did either of you find out? What was wrong or the cause? I am trying to help my friend figure out what is wrong with her and both of your cases sound exactly what is happening to her and she's already had surgery once scraping her insides, however it's back again! Please let me know what the doctors said it was or what you had to do to get it to stop. Thanks! |

| I also have a friend that has been bleeding everyday for 12months, most days with clots and seeping through her clothes while she is walking her son to school. She also had some operation that was suppose to fix it but nothing has changed, she was told to take the contraceptive pill to control the bleeding.....nothing changed. She was due for another operation on the 26th June and they postponed it after doing an examination for another month!!! She is anemic also and weighs only 45-50kg. She has fainted once and was taken to hospital but that was 8 months ago now and they still haven't fixed her. She is becoming very distressed and depressed and confused why no one can help her. My friend is from a non english speaking background which does not help her feelings of isolation when she sees anyone medical. And to add to her desperation Centrelink are hassling her to find a job or they will stop her single parent payments and are telling her that doctor's and specialist's letters are not good enough to say she is unwell!!!! |
