excessive menstral bleeding

Hi, I am 25, I have two children and currently use the patch. About 3 weeks ago, I used Plan B as a percaution b/c the patch fell off. I spotted for 2 days and then my period came. I have been on my period ever since. Is this some reaction to the two hormones or is something wrong?
