excessive vaginal bleeding

i have been bleeding from my vagina and i thought it was a ccycle but its been on for three weeks now.

Is this bleeding normal for you, meaning have you had episodes like this in the past?
I have had dysfunctional bleeding for years and have tried pills, more pills, and now an IUD to no avail. I started having heavy bleeding on March 20th and went to the Dr and they put me on high doses of birth control pills to stop the bleeding and I am to slowly wean off. This pills did stop my bleeding but it's been hard to handle all the hormones at once and I have had severe stomach upset.

If you are feeling weak, dizzy or nauseuous, then call your dr immediately and/or go to the Er or an acute care clinic. If it isn't that bad yet, it could become that way from the constant bleeding so schedule an appointment with either your doctor or gyn asap.
