excited too soon??

My husband and I are trying to become pregnant and this morning I noticed some brown discharge when I wiped. It is the 15th and my last period started on the 5th. We had sex on the 11th. I thought that it was too early to even be ovulating and probably too soon to be spotting also. Am I getting myself excited for no reason??

please help me out, I don't want to get my hopes up too soon.

It does sound too early for the spotting to be pregnancy related, but good luck
