| I suffered from pain and discomfort for years in my abdomen. I had pain during sex and had a constant fullness, wearing clothing was uncomfortable, and basically felt bad all the time. I also had ovarian cysts, and during a procedure to drain one of them the doctor said my uterus was hardening with a condition called adometriosis. It is similar to endometriosis, but it is the lining of the walls uterus that is hardening. This hardening spreads like endometriosis, but it is confined to the uterus. It had become enlarged and required a hysterectomy. Like you, I had never heard of it....I don't think I am spelling it correctly, but you may be able to find more information on the web with the correct spelling. I have felt so much better since. I was 42 at the time. Since I was done having children I had no problem with a hysterectomy. I don't know what other treatment there was. |
