I was never told to stay away from vitamin C because it causes scarring! In fact, I have been taking it a lot before the surgery - so now what can be done??? Also, I cannot find out anywhere if exposure to the sun is okay. What about tanning beds? When is all this okay to do in moderation?

I found a great page that answers some of your questions. I had a mini facelift and was out for about 2 or 3 days and after that my PS told me to stay out of direct sun light for at least a week or two.

I not completely sure about tanning beds, but I would bet they are a big no-no.
