feels like something is in my throat

Hello, I was diagnosed in October with a thyroid nodule, and I have pain associated with this. I am scheduled for a iodine scan next week, however since yesterday I've had pain when swallowing, tenderness on each side of the esophogus where the nodule is located and a feeling of something in my throat. Today I woke up with the same feeling, though now the feeling of something being stuck is more prominent and the whole neck region where the thyroid and lymph nodes are located are a bit swollen and tender to the touch. Any suggestions would be helpful.

hi, did your DR. see the thyroid nodule through a routine exam..mine was seen as a bump just across from the adams apple on right side of neck..a bump in the skin ,as I turn my neck back it is revealed ...a lot easier to see...what was your end result was it cancer
