Hi, I am having fever and abdominal pain. I am worried as I had appendix surgery a month ago. Is it some complication after surgery?

Hi, actually it could be that there is some inflammation in the area that has undergone the surgery. But, if everything was done properly, it shouldn’t be the case. Take some paracetamol for fever and antibiotics in case it is infection. But, your surgeon must take look at it, to notice any changes in wound. Is your wound healed? If you can see or palpitate any changes or if there is pus, it’s a sign of infection. Period after surgery is specially important, and this region will be sensitive for a long time, before you feel like before again.
