| i dont believe that you can get a std from masterbation but you may want to check that as im not sure what would happen if you have a cold sore touch then masterbate. i would consider someone a virgin until they actaully have penetrated or been penetrated but there is alot of grey its really personal opinion but in general there has to be another person involved |

If you are using only your own body parts, and have normal, clean hygene, I don't see why you might think you could pick up an STD.
An STD is by definition, a sexually transmitted disease. That covers a lot of ground.
As far as virginity goes, if you have not had sexual penetration, then by most definitions, you are still a virgin.
Skibum is quite correct, there is a lot of grey out there on the correct definition, but the above definition is the most usually accepted one. It makes it clear, black and white, although it may not be the answer most want to hear.
