I have just one fingernail that grows with horizontal cracks. The whole nail is very uneven and bumpy. Because of the horizontal cracks it will often tear. Also there is no cuticle and the skin around the fingernail is swollen and red and can become quite sore. The fingernail is now starting to look bruised at either side at the base of the nail.
