Hello! I heard that flaxseed contains vitamin b17 and can be pretty useful in treating prostate cancer? My husband has prostate cancer, and I am trying all possible ways to help him feel a bit better. IS there anybody who can tell me more? Thank you!

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your husband. Besides vitamin b17, flaxseed is very rich in -3 fatty acid, fiber, and a compound called lignin. It was being studied in the prevention of prostate cancer. However, FDA doesn’t approve this statement even though I heard that some scientist 20 years ago have proved it. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know to tell you more but maybe somebody else here on the forum will. Good luck!
