following pinealectomy

Hi, my mother is 56 years old and she has problem with her pineal gland for several years. It started with headaches and when she made CT scan there was found tumor on the gland. Fortunately it is benign tumors but it makes pressure on surrounded structures so her doctor told that it has to be removed. Operation is next week so I would like to know how it looks like.

Hi, my friend also had pinealectomy few months ago and he is feeling just fine. He is taking some medications which replace hormones of pineal gland. Operation is specific by the way it is performed. Surgeon is approaching to the pineal gland trough the nose of the patient which is in total anesthesia. It is all done under surveillance over the scanner so you donâ€™t have to be worry about precision of such operation.
