I have been fighting what seemed to be a cold for 2 weeks. Yesterday i started noticing a foul smell when I blew my nose or coughed. I know there is an infection in my sinus but have never experienced anything like this before. I do not have insurance coverage so cannot go to the doctor. Is there anything over the counter that can help me get rid of thie problem? I was running a low grade fever of 100.5 yesterday morning but itis normal today.
The only thing that is going to get rid of an infection is an antibiotic. You need to go to the doctor. You can usually get a normal doctor visit for only $50. If you need to, ask them to make payment arrangements. Or, see if you qualify for free medical care through the government. Especially with a sinus infection, you need to get this treated. The infection can move to your brain causing a lot more complications.
