AT the end of january 2007 I fractured my right leg tibia playing football. Another player blocked my kick. I went to hospital and had my leg put in a plaster cast. After almost 7 weeks the cast was removed. Now, one week later, I am still using the crutches to walk most of the time since it is rather painful to sustain my weight for more than a few minutes without any additional help. Everytime I walk without the crutches I limp like crazy and it is painful. The lower leg and angle are still swelling a lot. The doctor said I should be able to walk within 2 weeks after the removal of the cast. I am not that confident now. The pain is not decreasing or the swelling. It is true I have to walk as a teacher. Any suggestions? Will I really be able to walk well after a few weeks.
