friend suffering from paranoid delusions

I must admit that my friend is suffering from paranoid delusions. We know each other for two years. He was always a little eccentric but I did not know that it is so serious. But now it is obvious. He thinks that some people monitor him with some devices all the time. He does not believe me or anyone else. He thinks we are all spies. Is there something I could do to help him?

I also have a friend who is delusional. I know how hard it must be for you to learn the truth. It is like you have lost your friend although he is still here. It is very hard to live with those people. So I now that his family would appreciate if you could spend some time with him. Try to talk with him and lead the conversation away of his delusions. If he needs professional attention or medications try to help them to find the right ones. It is something you can do as a friend.
