Hi. I am a guy 42 years old and I went to a doctor because of some symptoms and doctor noticed that I had gall bladder polyps. He will do some tests in about few days, and I am kind of scared. Never ever had anything like this. I heard that this classifies as a benign tumor, so I am wondering if these polyps of mine are dangerous or not.
Yes, polyps are considered benign tumors, but I don't think you have much to worry about. When they are not big enough, they are harmless. When they are bigger, they can sometimes become a cancer, but that is not very often. Also, when a doctor sees that polyps are big he advises a surgery. I hope everything will turn right.
