gall bladder removed and now i got pancreatits

I had my gall bladder removed about a year and a half ago. Now they say i have pancreatits. Would that have anything to do with it? Im not sure if its acute or chronic. I will find out next week. I dont drink alcohol thats the main cause of pancreatits. So please help if you have any info on this.

Hi, I know it's been 8 months since you asked this question, but I thought I would still answer it. By now, you've already gotten your test results and had an ERCP. There are generally 2 ways to get pancreatitis - abuse of alcohol and a gall stone that gets stuck in the duct.

I hope that you are doing well. I was in the hospital for 4 days because of severe pancreatitis and gall bladder removal in November 2004. I still have problems eating certain foods, but I'm aware of them. I still eat them and take my chances! Wink
