my girl friend has a bad case of stomach pain and gas she is 45 what could it be comming form food or something ?

It could be many things. You didn’t say how long it has been going on or which part of the stomach hurt. It could be the food or it could be some of the gastrointestinal diseases.

Is she experiencing problems with constipation or diarrhea? Constipation could be one of the reasons of both pain and gas since bacteria could be “eating” undigested foods and causing the bad smell. Excessive gas can even cause abdominal pain. I don’t think it would be such a smart idea to write down all the possibilities since there could be over twenty. However you should know that all of these organs could be causing abdominal pain: the stomach, the end of the esophagus, the small and large intestines, the liver, the gallbladder, the pancreas, the appendix, the kidneys.

She should definitely cut down on foods she has been taking in larger amounts and see if it stops or even better see a GP and have it checked, which is even a better idea.
