gastritis and esophagitis

I have been told by my GI doctor that i have both of these conditions.I have been taking nexuum and antiobiotics for the last two weeks..I still have chest pain which is relieved bt antiacids such as maalox..I am wonderin if anyone else has the same problem.. gastritis and esophagitis
