genital herpe symptoms

It has been a long downhill battle and now I believe it's over. My husband and were diagnosed with hsv2 about 1 1/2 years ago. He in the beginning had and sores, burning and itching. It would clear up and he wouldn't have breakouts for months. But ever since he decided to go and get checked and it was confirmed, he has had non-stop breakout neverending. He tried the acyclovir and valtrex the highest doses. He has seen do many doctors 1 last one was infectious disease. And she could not figure out why the medication wasn't working. I works on hiv and aids patients at that dose. The doctor suggested a dermatologist. But now he refuses to go to anymore doctors. I understand, but I know there is an answer out there somewhere. One fo the doctors who has done infectious disease for over 30 years believes it not to be the herpes now becasue the sypmtoms are not lesions or sores it's all about itching and redness. I am blessed and cursed I guess because I do carry hsv antibodies but have never ahd breakouts and still do not. While my husband deals physically and emotionally. I watch and listen to the frustration and anger he deals with. Adn yesterday he said he doesn't love me anymore and hates me we have a daughter who is four. And she is the only reason he still at home. I am lost and sooo very alone. Does anyone know how I feel, does anyone relate.
