I am very worried about my son. He is 9 years old. He is afraid of many things like every child but there is something that makes him different of other kids. He is afraid of ghosts. But he really thinks that they exist. Sometimes he asks me why I cant protect him from them. He is tearing my heart. Does anyone have similar experience?
I had the same disorder some time ago. I had very difficult childhood. I had seen my parents dying in a car crash. Then I had dreamed them for few months almost every other day. Then I had always afraid that they will appear while I am wake like ghosts. So I have developed serious ghosts phobia. I couldn't be alone in the room for two years, not even in the bathroom. But I went to a very good psychiatrist and I don't have such difficulties now although I feel uncomfortable while I am alone somewhere at night.
