I am 16 years old girl, and I recently started to masturbate. I like this very much and I wonder if that is normal, that I like it so much. I would like to hear someone’s opinion about this topic. Can you tell me more about masturbation and especially about girl’s masturbation? Are there some special techniques that could gave me better pleasure and I could use when I am alone masturbating?

That is normal that you are masturbating, because almost every girl and boy is doing this. Female masturbation techniques are numerous and more varied than male’s. Techniques for girls’ masturbation include stroking or rubbing of the vulva, especially the clitoris. Girls can use her middle or index fingers, or even index and second fingers. This is pleasurable for most, especially when rubbing the breast and nipples at the same time. Sounds like fun. It feels talking about this subject but it is normal. It is normal for you to masturbate eventhough I don't feel that way myself because I am a christian. Can you imagine that? Anyways just put yourself in the mood. If you have had sex before think about the sexual process to get yourself aroused and wet. Try to rub yourself against something so you can be in the sexual movements. Close your eyes and imagine sex. It works for me. Wink

I was in my early teens the 1st time I did this and still do it occasionally to this day (I am in my 30's). The house was empty and my chore was to vaccuum. I had sex on the mind. If you're not getting wet when you masturbate, it does not mean that there's anything wrong with you.
Although lubrication (natural or otherwise) is prefered, it doesn't always happen right away. There are several things that could be attributing to this.
Ask yourself...
1) Is the mood/time right?
Are you alone? Is there any risk of being interrupted? If you're feeling rushed, nervous, or uncomfortable then you may find it extremely difficult to become aroused.

2) What is your approach?
Don't expect to become aroused the very moment you start touching yourself. You need to take things slow. Take some time to fantasize. Think about something or someone that is sexually appealing to you. Some people role-play or act out scenarios in their head. And if your imagination isn't quite up to snuff, just try relaxing and exploring your body.

3) The Act Itself...
If you've just recently started masturbating, you probably aren't too sure what you like yet. You could be basing your technique on something you read, or something you saw on television, or maybe even something a friend told you. But masturbation is a personal and intimate act. Keyword here being 'personal'. Everyone is different, and (within the boundries of safety) there is no wrong way to do it.
Are you being too hard on yourself?
