| My girlfriend has been on birth control for a little over a year now. She has been faithful with taking it, same time everyday. When we have unprotected sex, I always pull out. We're both nervous about going all the way (i'm more nervous that she is). We both want to go all the way, meaning me coming inside her vagina. My question is, with the fact that she is faithful, is it safe for me to come inside her without a condom? We are both free of STD's, we just are not ready for a child yet. |

| Well anyone will tell you not everything is 100%.. Birthcontrol is only like 98% i think.. So theres still that 2% that gets pregnant while on it.. I personally have gotten pregnant while on the pill.. now i cant blame that fully on the pill failing me cause i wasnt regular on taking it the same time evryday.. and around the time i got pregnant i did miss 1 pill and they say that can be all it takes is to miss 1 pill on the right day and have unprotected sex.. So i would say if you guys want to risk that few percent chance then go a head and get your nut on!! I mean it is a very low percent.. But just remember sh*t happens. If her periods are regular then you can always try it maybe a day before her period, since she has already ovulated.. getting pregnant is all about timing.. I hope i helped out a little! |

| The pill is not 100% effective, so please use a condom if you guys are not ready for a child. I tell you this from experience...I was on the pill for a year and got pregnant: I never missed a pill, always took it on time and I was not sick or taking any kind of medicine that could have interfered with it. Needless to say, I am now more paranoid than I was before so if you wanna take your chances with that 2-1% then good luck! |

| so she's least likely to get pregnant a couple days before getting her period? We've talked about trying, with the right timing, using spermicide, I would think that would reduce the chance even more. |

| I have been on the pill for over 2 years now, I take my pill within the 1/2 hour every day. My boyfriend almost always ejaculates inside me. I haven't ever been pregnant. I suggest though, since you are concerned: Tell your girlfriend to start setting her alarm early every morning, like before she would wake up, keep water next to her bed, with the pills, then when the alarm goes off every morning, just sit up take the pill, and go back to sleep. I decided to start doing this because I accidentally started taking it like 3-4 hours different everyday, because of my odd work schedule. So just make sure she sets her alarm for a time she will not be awake...ever, so she can just sit up, take it, and continue to sleep. Taking the pill closest to the same time everyday, I heard is the best way to keep your pills effective ^.^ |
