I got diagnosed yesterday with depression and am curious what to expect in my future. Will such diagnose affect my life and what I have to do now to make myself feel better? Thanks
Well, I already see a good sign of your recovery. You’re diagnosed with depression yesterday and today you already ask such an optimistic question. This is good of course. So this means that you suffer from mild depression alike. You’ve probably reacted on time, got diagnosed and know what your treatment is; I suppose you were recommended some medical treatment that affects neurotransmitters to regain their balance which imbalance probably was the cause of your depression. The recovery might last longer than even a year but in cases like yours it is most likely that depression never gets back. But in that order you have to live positively which means that you have to try to avoid stress situation, go out socialize with people, smile, laugh, work out… this all works, especially work out! I know. I tried it and it helps a lot.
