had coil removed. period is late but test says negative

We are trying for a baby. I had my coil removed which followed by a very normal period(periods were very light and lasted weeks on the coil) I presumed i could then calculate my fertile days as normal expecting to return to a 28 day cycle. my period is now 9 days late but tests show negative. Could i still be pregnant, could i have a much longer cycle. once i have come on i dont know how to work out my fertile days. Wink
