| recently i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend for the first time. afterward i noticed a weird smell that i've never smelled on myself before. days later, the smell still hasn't gone away and now there is a light yellow-green discharge. there is no itching but i'm worried and it's also embarrassing. i've heard that some semen does something to the ph level of a woman's body or something like that...if thats the case, what can i do? |

Sounds like you contracted an STD. Vaginitis comes to mind which consists of a yellow or greenish discharge accompanied with a foul odor. Your Doc will swab your vagina and let you know exactly what you have.
There is medication that he can give you, possibly Flagyl.
Usually treating the female is enough, however if the infection recurs, the partner must be treated.
I hope this has made you think about birth control. If you are on the pill, you should still use a condom. |
