Hello. I am a guy 17 years old and I have a bad case of acne. I also wear long beard ( I am very hairy for an 17 year old). I was thinking... Does my beard affect my acne? Does it make them worse? I am not sure, and I will shave off my beard if that is the situation. Quite a simple question, really.

Yes it, does have a negative effect on your acne. First you have the physical irritation, and that is even worst if you have strong hairs. Long beard is not easy to keep clean. So hygiene is the next thing on the list. On the other hand, when you are shaved, you just have to wash your face from time to time, and the acne will already be better. Go to dermatologist and see if you can fix your acne problem.
