hanging hymen

i need to know if a peice of skin from your hymen is possible if it hangs from your vagina? is that good or bad do i need a doctor ?

I want to know the same thing. I have a piece of skin just hanging from there. I went to the doctor..they didn't seem to think it was anything. I don't know it just annoys me though. I think it's a remnany of the hymen. what's up with that?

Hello. don't know if you found your answer or not but I had the same thing. I was able to use tampons and have sex a couple of times before my septate hymen finally broke. when it did it left this thin piece of skin hanging, it's been there for years and I never really knew this was odd. If it bothers you it can be removed by your doctor.

This is normal. I have this as well. The doctor said that it happens rarely but it is nothing to worry about. You can get it removed if it hurts well have sex or just usual activities, but the scare tissue might cause pain when having sex in the future.

Last night, my boyfriend fingered me but harder than usual and I started to bleed lots! I went to the bathroom to clean myself and I still bled. I continued gushing blood for about 6 hours!!!! It slowed down after about 4-5 hours but there was lots of what looked like skin. And i mean lots of skin. More skin than I thought a hymen was made of. It scared me so i was fainting and throwing up because of shock. Now, I have hanging bits of blood covered skin than I am so scared to deal with. I tried touching the area to see if I was still bleeding and it feels red raw and I can't bring myself to do something about this hanging skin. I don't know if it is still attached to me or just the hairs. Was loosing that much blood abnormal and is it actually all blood, or other substances too?
