Hi! I have 17 years. I live as all normal teenagers do – going out with friends even practice a basketball. But, the one thing I can deal with is waking in the morning. No dock, no alarm, no voice or noise is disturbing my sleep. Why is that? I read something about sleeping disorders. Am I having one?
Hi! My son had the same problem as you do now. All the teenagers usually need about 9 hours of sleep per day. Are you having enough sleep? Referring to activates your, you spend a lot of energy during the day. But, just to be sure that you don’t have narcolepsy or excessive sleep as a sleeping disorders you should visit your doctor. In a sleep lab you will be monitored during your sleep and your doctor will be able to determine if you have sleeping disorder, if yes, what kind of disorder it is, and to refine your treatment. But doesn’t worry, once diagnosed it can be effectively treated.
