Do you get menus on this Idiot Proof diet and can you drink milk or diet soft drinks? How much water is required?
What is a typical breakfast? Can you eat cereal?

I desperately want to try this diet, however, I want to ask several questions before signing up. I don't want to have cook several different meal at suppertime, are the meal plans something that can be worked into what I prepare for my husband and kids???

I started the Idiot Proof Diet on May 30th. I lost 6 lbs on the first 11 day cycle. I gained back 1.5 on my three days off. I am on the 4th day of the 2nd cycle and have lost the 1.5 I gained.

This diet is really easy to follow. It is exactly what I was looking for! Lots of fruit, nuts, meat, milk and cheese. The meal combinations can be a little strange (cashews and walnuts, for example) but if you just look ahead, you can plan things out very easily. Here was my menu for today:

Meal 1: scrambled eggs, lowfat milk
Meal 2: turkey (deli style), cheese slices
Meal 3: chicken, peanuts, banana milk shake (I made mine with lowfat milk, frozen banana, vanilla, Splenda)
Meal 4: walnuts, cashews

You can eat as much of each thing as you want as long as you don't over fill yourself. You can eat the meals in any order, and you can eat only the things you want. For example, I only ate the walnuts for a late snack. I had them sprinkled with Splenda and cinnamon.

For dinner, I just cooked up a bunch of chicken tenderloins on my George Forman grill. All I had to do was prepare some salad and rice for the rest of the family. I was also able to easily do this diet while staying with my mom in the hospital. I just packed up my meals in a cooler. It was so easy!

Oh, let me add, there is one day when you get a deli meat sandwich, but the other meals are all fresh fruit. There is also one day of only salad, however it does include pinto beans (if you like them). I heated some fat free refried beans, mixed in some lettuce, topped it with 1 oz of cheese and taco sauce. You just need to get creative!

I started the diet a week ago and I've lost seven pounds. After a couple of days my husband wanted in because the food looked so healthy, so now I fix extra amounts so he can eat the same thing. The meals are so simple and healthy, but you need to drink a lot of water, yet you can drink diet soda.I began to look forward to eating every 2.5 to 3 hrs so I didn't miss eating junk food in between meals.I felt and noticed the results so fast that I've scheduled outside events around my eating schedule. On my three days off from dieting eleven straight days,I'll plan to see other family and friends for holidays and special events. The diet is worth the $27 and then some.I'm sooooooo pleased and thankful I found,or should say it found me.

reply to your question:
This is a very healthy educational approach for changing your habits of eating. It is by far the ONLY method I have lost weight consistently. How it helped me was the following:
Eat as much as you want UNTIL you feel the first feeling of full. Then STOP.
Slow way down on breads, sweets.
Drink water 8-10 minimum glasses a day.
Eat 4 times a dat at least 2.5 hours apart. It increases your metabolism by letting you eat what you want but they put the foods in order.
Hope this helps. 070306

My wife and I are just starting out second cycle on this diet... we started about 30 to 40 pounds overweight. We both lost about 9-11 during the first cycle.. gained about 3 back during the 3 days break... but found that we could not eat as much and gave more thought to portions.. The diet is easy to follow...easy on the pocket book... We can feel a difference in the way our clothes fit already.... For the cost of this information.. it has paid off already....so far so good!

Hi all,
I have been on every diet imaginable. I once lost 60 pounds on Nutri system but I don't like the way their food tastes. I have been on the IdiotProof diet for 3 days , after 2 days I had lost 4 pounds. I do go to Curves every day it's just too hot to walk outside.
The food choices are good. I am a science teacher and I am trying to figure the science out. It's kind of like Atkins but not really. I love the fact that I get to eat fruit.
I'm looking forward to the 3 cheat days which just happen to fall on my son's birthday and a graduation party for the son of a friend. I won't have to say "I can't have that piece of cake because I'm on a diet" and I love the fact that I don't have to feel guilty about it.
I have spent so much money on diets that the $27 seemed like nothing. I also took pictures of myself on the day I started and I keep them where I can see them. Believe me they are very scary.
I do get hungry ( not to the point of starving) but I drink coffee which helps. I am not a soda drinker but I find that a diet soda can help with the hunger too. I plan to stay on this until I've lost the weight. I also plan to get healthy by exercising every day. I'm going to be 47 in August and I don't want to end my life as a fat old granny!

I'm back!! I have lost 5 pounds in 5 days. I feel so much better already. I also noticed that yesterday, day 5, I was not hungry anymore. I had to make myself eat. I guess as with all diets the first few days are the hardest. As someone else said all you have to do is be a little creative and you can whip up some interesting things. For the all veggie day I plan to grill some, mash some of the carrots, put others together in a salad, etc.
If you're thinking about dieting you should definitely consider this one.
