Hi, I am 30 years old and i recently had a thyroidectomy at 29 eight months ago. the twist with my situation is at the time of my surgery i was seven months pregnant. The surgery was due to multi-nodular goiter compression on my windpipe. In other words i had a much difficulty breathing, and this was the safest solution for both me and my baby. As a result i had an easy delivery of a healthy baby girl. my question is, however, will I be able to have healthy future pregnancies, and what are the common concerns of having a baby with hypothroidism?
