Hi, my relative is 47 years old and he didn't feel well lately. He started to feel cramps in his legs and his speech became nasal. After few days he decided to visited doctor and he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. I don't know much about this disorder so I would be thankful if someone has more information.

Hi, unfortunately I don't have good news to tell you. ALS is very severe neurological disease which is affecting neuromuscular system. It causes problems, with speech, swallowing and walking. This disease is very progressive and there is no specific therapy, only symptomatic. It would be good to consult your neurologist.
