health benefts to shaving pubic hair

I get female infections AND urinary tract infections constantly. It occured to me that it would be easier to keep clean and maybe cut down on the transfer of infection from one place to the other if I shaved all my pubic hair...amd I way off base with this...

Does the hair serve any health bennefits down there? or is it benneficial to shave for this reason.
