help its my ablation in 2 days!

Im booked in to have a ablation on thursday this week so time is ticking.
All i have read on this site is that this is a treatment for heavy periods. my docter has advised me to have this done even though i do not have heavy periods at all. i have a very light bleed that never stops and when i say never it has been going on for about 2 years!! Im not sure this treatment will be right for me now.
Also i have an autistic daughter and never ever wanted any more children but now my op date looms im finding im really getting panicky about never having another baby again. Is this just pre-op nerves.
