Hi. I was with a girl and after a month I have noticed some strange sores in my genital area. I was diagnosed with genital herpes. I know there is no cure for this disease. However, I would like to hear from somebody with experience something about genital herpes breakouts prevention.

Hi. To prevent genital herpes you need a suppressive therapy. It is a continuous therapy, day by day, but it will prevent the outbreaks. I have decided to treat my genital herpes suppressively because I had frequent outbreaks and it was really disturbing me. It was also very painful. My doctor told me many people on suppressive therapy experience not a single outbreak in a whole year. I can`t have sex just with anybody and it is really annoying. Condoms can`t be helpful sometimes, they can`t cover it all.
