Hi, my friend is 44 years old male and he was coughing for some time. He is smoker so he thought it was caused by cigarettes. As cough didn't stop he decided to visit his doctor. Doctor ordered him to make chest x-ray and told him that he has hilar adenopathy and that he had to make further analyses. I would like to know what is hilar adenopathy and what does it show?
Hi, I am suffering from sarcoidosis for several years already. hilar adenopathy is common for sarcoidosis but also may be found in some other disorders like different infections and tumors. This is x-ray terminology and represent enlarged lymph nodes which are placed on the place where bronchi are dividing from trachea.
