Hello there, I am a medical student who is 18 years old. What is the catch with histamines? I know that they have some role in allergies but I am not sure about it. Can you help me out with this subject? Thank you in advance for every information you give me about histamines.

You are absolutely right about histamines. Because of this, there is an antihistamine- a medicine which reduces the effect of histamines in allergy. So histamine is actually a chemical which is released during allergy reaction. When they are present in human body, allergy symptoms are also there. That is all I know.
