I have noticed that a lot of girls from my surrounding suffer from anorexia. I work like a night guard in one exclusive night club. A lot of girls that work there and those who came to a club have problems with their weight. They are all so thin that it doesn't look normal like they all have anorexia. It is like they have no appetite. Can you tell me something about history of anorexia? How long does it exist?
It is common assumption that people with anorexia have lack of appetite. But it is not true. They are afraid of putting on weight. The anorexia symptoms are first mentioned in 1684, but it was not identified like illness before 1870. Nevertheless this illness was very rare until the last few decades. It is because now is fashionable to be thin, there are propaganda on the medias to focus on your body looks and because of technology we don't have to work hard things anymore so we don't have to develop strong muscles.
