how long does it take Zithromax to cure Chlamydia?

I recently received oral sex from an ex girlfriend who didnt tell me until afterwards that she had been treated for chlamydia 2-3 weeks prior. She took the medicine that required the single dose and she goes back in for a check up this week. Is it possible or how likely is it that she can spread it to me? She says she never had symptoms, they just found it when she did her annual exam and she knows where she got it from.

A year and a half ago i found out that i had Chlamydia. I got treated for it with one little pill and never got a follow up exam but I kept having relations with the same person. He knew I'd gotten it and been treated for it and i advised him to get treated for it too. As much as i thought i could trust him, i couldnt. I was with him for approx. ten months, and at the end of that ten months i discovered not only had he been cheating on me with numerous girls but that he'd never gotten treated. A couple months later I met this really great guy that helped me get over my previous relationship. Im still with him and i love him very much. We found out three months ago that im pregnant... and now being four months along (almost five) at my last doctor's visit they did a routine physical which required a pap. A week ago i got the phonecall saying that i was yet again infected (or still infected). I was given a four pill prescription of the generic version of zithromax otherwise known as azithromacin and was directed to take them all at once. Not only did i experience the most gut wrenching stomach pains but shortly thereafter i had ridiculously watery diarrhea. My partner is getting his treatment tomorrow (I know this because after calling several different clinics to find out which would be best we finally scheduled the appointment) i know it's a completely diff situation than it was before me being pregnant and all and the wonderful daddy to be wouldnt be able to live with knowing that our baby was born with a sti because he didnt want to get treated... but you all need to know... if somebody u've had relations with has been diagnosed, be safe, get tested. why would u risk spredding it to someone you love just because u "thought" u didnt have it since there were no symptoms or "it cant happen to me"... wouldnt u rather be safe than sorry?

i just found out that i had chlamydia also and i cheated one time on my wonderful loving boyfriend. i was scared to tell him but i know that if i didnt and something happened to him because he didnt know he had it if he did it would hurt me more. but my doctor gave me the same medicine it was four pills but i want to know also how long it takes for it to cure. i know this will go away my only concern is if my boyfriend is going to take me back.

A few months ago i found out i had it and my doctor gave me four pills that i had to take all at once........i was pregnant as a matter of fact! My ex boyfriend still hasnt got treated but kudos to him. Anyway my doctor didnt tell me that i had it until i went back for my check up and when i did go back the disease was gone and that was two weeks after.

well i am a 14 year old young lady and i was hit with the disease as well. i have cried once i found out it was a shocker. a week later i took eight tablets and my doctor told me not 2 have sex until 2 weeks after. but i did before 2 weeks. i wonder if i still have chlamydia. I'm scared. my vagina is not usual. it itches, burns sometimes. when i look in the mirror at my vagina it does'nt look normal. im scared. i wanna go 2 the doctor but i dont have a doctor anymore being that i recently moved to chicago. many time i wanted to go to the emergency room. but do you think they will check me out?

Yes, that's how I found out that I had it. I went in for pain and irregular bleeding. A few days later they called with the news. I know I got it from my cheating husband who I left in January, that means I've had it for possibly 2 years. And my wonderful boyfriend is having to get treated for it now, too. Go before you get someone else infected.

I had sex with my boyfriend about a month and a half ago-- I'm not proud to say this, but.... it was unprotected (twice). We live in different states and it was our first time having sex together. After a few days, I noticed what I thought to be a yeast infection, so I went ahead with Monistat, which usually clears up in a couple days. Throughout the three days of dosage I also started my period so I stopped using monistat, only to find out that after my period, I was still having the same itchy symptoms, just not as bad. A month passed by and we decided to see each other again. This time we had sex for a week using protection everytime. When he left to go back to his state again, I noticed bigger sypmtoms like the burning sensation when I peed, itchyness, and all of the above. I went to the doctor and he said I tested positive for chlamydia! I felt awful!!!!!!!!! I've had hpv before and had to clear it up in very uncomfortable ways. However, getting this disease only hurts more. I just don't know what to think. The guys says he had been checked with his last girlfriend and he was fine, however he had had sex with one girl after and it was protected. He believes that is who gave it to him.... I can't decide whether or not I want to stay with this person. My best friend thinks I should not-- but what if it was just an honest mistake. Afterall, I too had part in not using protection the first time.... and he wants a monogamous relationship, even though we are far apart--[b]I'm just wondering how long it takes for a man to contract chlamydia? because if there is a way of knowing then I would know if he cheated on me within the month he was gone-- so confused, I don't know what to do-- he wants to come back next week , just to be supportive-- of COURSE we wouldn't have sex!!!!!!!! HELL NO! but .... I just don't know whether to stay with him or not... I know chlamydia is a "silent" disease, however it still kills me that I got it from him--

i have been with my girlfriend for almost 3 years and have also been faithful to her over that time and may have chlamydia. have only had symptoms for 3 weeks. pains when having sex. just don't want to believe that she has been unfaithful is there any other way i could have got this.
