How long does menopause usually last? I am taking hormones in the form of an oil that I put on, but I am concerned with the recent findings about breast cancer. How long should I have to take this to relieve hot flashes?
These things are always discussed with your gynecologist or the doctor who prescribed you hormones. Although there are risks associated with HRT, there are also many benefits in regulating menopause symptoms.
You need to talk about this with your doctor to see if you are in the increased risk of cancer and if the HRT's benefits outweigh possible risks.
