how long implantation bleeding lasts

ok so heres the deal my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year now and my last period was on April 16, 2007 and we had sex on the 28th, 29th, 1st, and then on the 9th. Around the 30th my breasts started hurting really bad especially my nipples and i've had little bumps on my breasts that look kinda like goose bumps but they have been there since my breats started hurting. On the 9th I had an achy pain in my lower stomach but it wasnt like cramps and then on the 10th I had a little pinkish bleeding that was only there when I wiped and it wasnt there every time I went to the restroom and the same thing so far today. I've taken a test and it said negative but I'm afraid its too early to detect anything. I'm supposed to start around the 13th that is the 28th day of my cylce and my period has usually come around the 28th day.

i have been having a light brown collored discharge for two days and i am not sure what it could mean. The only signs i have had about being preg. is fatigue and a little nausa. Could this be implantaion bleeding. My periods are not regular at all. I have never had this happen before, and when should i take a test.

I am glad to hear I am not the only person. I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and did not experience any of this with my first. I started this brown spotting on the day that I would have orignally started my period, only when I wipe every so often during the day. I am now on day 6 with the spotting. I went to my OB on Monday and again on Thursday and my bld work and levels came back perfect, doubling jsut as they should.. She told me not to run or exercise until I knew everything was going to be ok. I had a miscarriage in December of '06. So this brown spotting is very nerve racking. I feel much better knowing I am having the same symptoms as some of the others.

Hi,
I googled "implantation bleeding lasts" because I am concerned that I may be experiencing implantation bleeding for the past 3.5-4 days now. My cycle has been a little inconsistent the past couple of months, I believe due to high amounts of stress. My last cycle was about 24 days...I had unprotected sex (planned) with the hopes of conceiving on prime ovulation days last month, I started noticing brown/pink discharged when I wiped on what would be day 21 or 22 of my cycle...it has now continued for another 3 days. Sometimes it is brown and thick, stringy like (I'm sorry if this is TMI), other times it only appears to be pink/brownish on the tissue. I have been wearing panty liners and occasionally it will collect there. I took a clearblue easy test first thing in the morning on Sunday, which would have been about around day 24 of my 24-28 day cycle, and it came back negative. I am worried because my last pregnancy, many years ago, was ectopic, in my tube and it nearly killed me. According to webMDs ovulation calendar (personalized for me), implantation day would have been on day 20 (I started this spotting on day 22), and the earliest effective day for home pregnancy test would be 2 full days from today. Today is the earliest day for a blood test to come up positive...I'm thinking of going. I am just distraught right now, and at work and can't think of anything else!

Like one other writer reported, I too had pain in my armpit last week! I noticed it while I was applying deoderant. It seems to be gone now though. I have been a little bit quezy, but I have been really stressed out and barely eating, so that could be the cause of the queziness and possible the spotting???

Hi mlh....I'm sort of in the same boat as you.
My period is due on Friday, and i started spotting yesterday (monday)...I'm still spotting today (brownish discharge and also light pink). It's very sporadic, but definitely still happening. I took a pregnancy test today and got a positive result. This just didn't seem like a normal period. I had a miscarriage in the beginning of the year, so I'm sort of in panic mode. I just hope everything is ok. it's so hard to say for sure what's normal and what's not.

Hi guys, I need some help/advise fast...
I'm on the pill and last had my period from 15/06 to 19/06, 4 days is about right for me. Since 2/07 or 3/07 I've been been having the very slightest spotting, like a watery brown (a couple of times a pinch of bright red), but none on my pants, just when I go to the toilet & wipe. Today is now the 10th and I've still got it (so 7 days), but no where near enough to use a tampax etc.
I am due on 19th. I've never had this before. I've had spotting in the past due to not being on the right pill but it has been a lot darker brown, and this is so watery and next to nothing!! Is it possible that I could be pregnant and this could be implantation bleeding? as I've heard someone say that it lasted about 2 weeks for them...if it wasn't for the colour and consistency it is I wouldn't be worried! Can someone please give me some advise and fast, I don't know what to do...

This is kind of amazing to me. I got my period on July 1st. It ended completely on July 6th. My husband and I had unprotected sex on July 7th. On July 9th I started getting a weird spotting. Only when I would wipe. Sometimes it was just a light pink and other times a brownish sometimes stringy (ehw... gross, I know) consistancy. It was different then anything I had ever experienced before. I made a dr appt. for July 12th. At that time, my Dr. told me that the preg. test came up faintly pos. She said I was probably like 2 weeks pregnant. I had blood drawn. On friday the test came back. My levels showed that I was less than a week pregnant, but pregnant none the less. I have a 10 month old daughter and never experienced any of this with that pregnancy. I didn't even realize that I was pregnant until I was six weeks with her. I am amazed that my body reacted so quickly to this pregnancy. I actually had to hang up on my mother-in-law on July 9th to get sick. I thought that the heat was just making me nauscious all week. Not to mention getting pregnant the day after my period ended, so much for ovulation schedules. Anyway, I am still experiencing the implantation bleeding, 8 days and counting, so it can definately lasts longer than a couple of days. I think everyone and every pregnancy is different. I still can't believe that I found out I was pregnant at 5 days. Appearently, I've become extremely fertile post pregnancy. I breastfed for 8 months and have only had a total of 4 periods since Nov. 2005. This is just crazy, but my husband and I are really excited. My advise is to just LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Nobody knows you like you. Even if a home pregnancy test comes back neg., go to the doctor and have blood drawn. Then you'll know for sure. I didn't even know implantation bleeding existed until now. Knowing that there are so many others going through the same thing puts my mind a little more at ease. Hope my experience can help someone else. Thanks for listening!!! ;o) Laughing

Here is my situation:

I have around a 33 day cycle, on average.

My last AF was June 14 and lasted until June 20. I had unprotected sex all during my period, up until June 21st.

On around June 29 I started feeling ill, with symptoms varying between heartburn, general stomach ache and nausea.

On July 1 I started spotting brown discharge. This is VERY unusual for me. I NEVER have mid cycle spotting. This stayed light brown July 1 & 2 and got a little darker before ending on July 4.

The timing suggests ovulation spotting, but I have never spotted during ovulation before.

Its now July 18th, and over the last few weeks I have continued to feel sick and have not had my period (I'm late). I took a pregnancy test yesterday, and it was negative. My doctor had me come in today for a blood test, and I will find out tomorrow.

My questions are:

Has anyone else experienced mid cycle spotting that turned out to be implantation bleeding?

Is is possible this spotting was just a weird restart of my cycle? Even though it was very quick and much lighter and shorter than usual?

Do you think its possible I ovulated early this cycle, and got pregnant from having unprotected sex at the end of my period? ... and the bleeding on July 1st be implantation bleeding? This would be unusual for me because my cycles are pretty long... but you never know i guess.

I'm not one to get anxious about pregnancy symptoms, and if it weren't for feeling sick to my stomach for 3 weeks straight and the strange mid-cycle bleeding, i would just dismiss it... but now I'm not sure. The mid-cycle spotting seems to be a little early for implantation bleeding... but i don't know...

Any opinions? Similar experiences that turned out to be pregnancy?

Please respond and I'll do the same when I find out the results of my blood test.

My last period was on july 26th, and ended on August first. It is now August 27th, and after finishing my period, a couple days later I've been fooling around with my boyfriend. We've never had sex, but have given and recieved oral sex. He was always the one to start it off, and i was always the one to end. As soon as he would ejaculate, it was straight to the washroom to wash up ( the both of us ). Sadly, i am not sure of the days between my periods, but on Auguest the 22nd i had slight bleeding that lasted a day and 1/2. Ever since then i've been rushing to the bathroom often, have slightly sore nipples and breats, acne break outs, moody, and bloated. I have also been having white mucus on my panty since then ( since the 23rd ). Is this just my period coming on? ( Sorry if this is too much information )

This is what my experience with implantation bleeding has been. My period was due 9-15. I spotted lightly (pink then brown) 9-10 thru 9-12. Had other symptoms like sore boobs and cramping. Took a preg. test on 9-12 and it was -. Took another one on 9-14 and it was +. Took two tests that day and both were +. Hope this helps someone.
