hysterectomy and pain on heavy lifting

I had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago and recently lifted a heavy box causing excrutiating pain across my scar site and to my left side. It felt as if something had popped out.

Has anyone had any similar experience and is it really safe to lift anything heavy Confused
