Actually, laparascopy is a method of direct visualization of the peritoneal cavity, ovaries and tubes. The laparoscopy instrument is a miniature telescope with a fiber optic system. A hysterectomy, on the other hand, is an operation in which a woman’s uterus is removed, sometimes also her ovaries and Fallopian tubes. Endometriosis and uterine fibroids are two main reasons for having hysterectomy. In case of a complete or total hysterectomy the cervix and the uterus are removed. A partial or subtotal hysterectomy removes the upper part of the uterus, and a radical hysterectomy removes almost all genital organs, and is needed in some cancer cases.
