I don’t know what is happening with me but I just can not stop eating. Lately I have been so stressed out and been eating all the time. I have gained 6 pounds in past 2 weeks. I know that this is not normal. What can I do to stop eating? I need help!

The most important thing is that you are aware that you need help. Next step you need to do is to realize what is causing you stress. By knowing the cause, you will be able to help yourself. This way you will be able to control yourself and try to solve the problem instead of turning to food and running away from the problem. However, if you think that you are not capable to do it by yourself, seek professional help. You are not the first person in this world who has this kind of problem. What is important is that you are aware that you have problem and for that I congratulate you. There are some things that can help you stop eating while you are stressed. First you need to learn to relax breath deeply and close your eyes. Find some time during the day for the exercising. Daily exercise will help you control blood sugar and also reduce your stress. You can also try a daily 15 to 20 minute walk to clear your head. First try with this approach and if it does not help you seek professional help. Good luck!

Kolasa is right, and I can tell you I also suffer of voracity attacks once in a while. I'm ill but I decided to seek for medical help at the nutrutionist and then - because it turns out that I'm a bulimic and have been for the last 4 years - at the physchologist too. They are working together and doing the best efforts to help me. But I had to give the first step myself, and that step was recognizing I am ill and I need help. Now that I'm struggling in a different way than I was before I decided to look for help, I need to have power of will and trust myself. It's hard, very hard, I know, but I want to be ok. I'm sure that you can do it too. Our problems may not be the same, but the solutions are pretty much on the same basis: will, trust, strength.

Good luck!
