When I get my period it is soo gross, it is brown and barley there. i can use only a panty liner and thats fine. There is really no strong odor involved. My doctor really hasnt done anything. I usually get this 3- 4 times a year and thats all. I am 26 and have 2 children. Can you help me?

Ok, I have never had regular periods.. Due to PCOS (polycystic ovary sydrome) which means my body does not communicate with itself, And I never ovulate. I get a break threw bleed every so often, 3-4 times a year. and that is usually how you described it. Dark brown(which indicates old blood) and barley there. Have your dr do a hormone level check.(its a blood test) My dr usually perscribes Provera or another form of progesterone to bring on a true bleed. I have two children but my daughter was concv. on Clomid and my Son was a result of the meds still being in my system (they are only 19months apart). You may have to go on BCP to regulate your periods. (I am after 3 years of fighting with pcos) as you get older it is more important to stay regular. i'm 33
