i have a brown discharge and i am almost one month late. I took a pregnancy test 4 days ago and it was negative? any advice on to what the problem may be??

Hi! Have you experienced any other changes lately with your body? Are there any other symptoms present? Are you using any birth control and when the last time you had your regular annual exam?

You may miss your period or be very late if you are under a lot of stress or if you had experienced any major changes in your life. Simple things like moving, traveling, emotional excitement could be interrupting your cycle.
Dieting could also cause a change in your period especially if you lost a lot of weight.

However, ovarian cysts tend to mess up ones cycle. If you experience bleeding and cramping, maybe you should see a gynecologist and report your symptoms. They may decide to perform an ultrasound to see if everything’s in order or if this is something transient.
