i have endometriosis

I have been going to my obgyn since march of 2006 and he stated i had endometriosis. I have been taking the hormone pill for 6months and was having mi9ld pain but now the pain in unbarable. He want give me anything for pain! i can't take the pain anymore but don't want to have surgey until I get a second opinion. I am only 29years of age. I just want to make sure there is nothing else i can do! But what I don't inderstand is 6months ago he would ask me how is the pain from 1-10- and i would say a 5or6 now the pain is beyond 10 and he want give me anything. I like him but he isn't trying to understand anything. He gets mad at me b/c i say I don't want surgey and walk out! He did refer me to Duke for a second opinion! please tell me or help me out what I can do! I am planning to get married and everything! It's got so bad all I do is cry exspecailly after I have sex with my partern. I am scared of everything.

Get a second opinion ASAP if you feel it is necessary, and explain the pain to them. You don't want to wait with endo.

It is terrible to be in pain, but so many people abuse pain pills that doctors are afraid to prescribe them. I learned this the hard way myself...now I get pain pills every month (because if I don't they won't prescribe them in the future)...but I have a condition where I only use them 15-20 weeks out of the year!

If your pain is seriously above a 10...you should go to the Emergency Room
